I just lost my father due to illness, who was the carer for Mum. Mum is in a care home for now with dementia in the early stage. The caring company has helped us make decisions and every day ask how she is. Until a week ago, Mum was treated with love, protection and a very, very professional organisation. Over the last 2 years, Mum has been provided with superb live-in care & she has genuinely thrived. Her main carer is exceptional, anticipating her needs and calmly providing positive support & a routine. When her carer has a week off, it's clear that there's good communication with her replacement to retain this continuity of care.
It's great when we visit, as everything is really well organised, the house is spotless and they have clearly become friends. There's lots of laughter, outings to the local church, lunch club & a home group. Seeing Mum so happy & well looked after means I can relax & stop worrying. Such a relief, especially as it's a 4-hour round trip!
